Product Overview

Leather Aniline Dye and Ink Remover Kit-A7.di by Leather Doctor is an innovative concept of removing blue jeans dye and ink stains featuring a “reverse transfer” technique utilizing a Towel-5 over the dwelling Prep-4.4 > CleanDye-7.9 > Acidifier-2.0 system. It works by penetrating; lubricating and suspending the stains on dwell time and the Towel-5 reverse absorbs the stain instantaneously from the leather. The working of Prep-4.4 is to remove general soiling with better results from a longer dwelling time. The second process is to remove ink or blue jean or other dye transfer stains with CleanDye-7.9. Acidifier-2.0 acts as rinse and pH-balance CleanDye-7.9 back to the pH neutral of about 3 to 5 of the leather to a squeaky feel. Clean-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 system is for non-dye stain areas or for routine cleaning. Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system rejuvenates the suppleness of the leather. Hydrator-3.3 the first step is to relax stiff leathers prior to fat and oil replenishing as the second step with softness and suppleness when dry. AnilineTop-21G is an option for renewing the finish from friction wear. Protector-B (scentless) and Protector-B+ (leather-scented) imparts non-stick rub-resistant protection with a buttery feel that shield against sticky soiling and reduce friction noises. Note that the mentioned product suffix number denotes its pH value in this holistic leather-safe dye and ink stain removal system. All concentrates in the bottles will need to be cut or mix with distilled water prior to use.

Instruction:

1- Accumulated Soiling Removal: 1a- Prep-4.4 is applied and agitated with detailing horsehair Brush-1; is then followed with terry cotton towel extraction until towel shows clean. 1b- Remaining ink and dye stains are again further treated with a ‘reverse transfer’ technique allowing the CleanDye-7.9 to wick trough the highly absorbent Towel-5 without any airspace. Towel-5 is work with Brush-1 until it becomes translucent without any white dry blotches. 1c- Inspect by lifting up the Towel-5 every 8 to 24hrs and up to 72hrs to see the result of the ‘reverse-transfer’ of stains. 1d- When 72hrs is up, peel off the ‘reverse-transfer’ and remove the CleanDye-7.9 residue with Acidifier-2.0 to a healthy squeaky clean and let dry. 1e- Inspect for appearance satisfaction and proceed to Protector-B/B+ to finish or repeat the entire process with CleanDye-7.9 to remove the dye or ink specifically. 1f- Protector-B/B+ is applied to protect against ink and dye transfer.

2- Dye & Ink Stain Removal: 2a- CleanDye.7.9 is repeated through the above 1a to 1f steps and inspect for satisfaction.

Note: Protector-B/B+ is skipped in the above sequence if color refinishing is the next option.

Testing with Prep-4.4

1- Cut out a piece of paper towel from the kit not bigger than our thumb size and soak it with Prep-4.4.

2- Test it on the worst stained area and inspect every 24 hours with a fresh application until the stain is gone.

3- Observe if there is a sign of stain removal, if it does, the stain will eventually be removed with repeat application.

4- To secure the test patch from dislodging wrapped it over with see through cling wrap.

5- When 72hrs is up with an unsatisfactory result, proceed with CleanDye-7.9 testing over the existing spot.

Testing with CleanDye-7.9

1- Repeat procedure the same as above 1 to 4 with CleanDye-7.9.
