Suede is leather with a napped finish, commonly used for jacket, shoes, shirts, purses, furniture and other items. It is made from the underside of the skin, primarily from the skin of smaller animal like lamb, although goat, pig, calf and deer are also commonly used. Its softness, thinness and pliability make it suitable for clothing and delicate uses. Suede leather is also popular in shoes, bags, and other accessories, and as lining for other leather products while upholstery is commonly made from the larger split suede. Fatliquor replenishing with Fatliquor-5.0 (pH 5.0) is essential to keep it soft and resist the ingress of liquid stains. Body contact stains are removed safely with Degreaser-2.2 (pH 2.2) follows with Rinse-3.0 (pH 3.0).
