Product Overview
Vachetta Leather Urine-Odor Killer - Kit-V5.uk by Leather Doctor is designed to decontaminate vachetta, saddlery and veg-tan leathers urine problems. Aged urine is detectable with its characteristic ammonic odor. The presence of ammonic odor may indicate the shifting of pH value up to 10. The leather will most likely feel sticky or slimy with wet finger testing it. This stickiness is a sign of leather denaturing and reverting to rawhide. pH balance to stabilize the denaturing leather is rectify with Acidifier-2.0 prior to cleaning the protein residue with d’Protein-10. Rinse-3.0 may follow prior to treatment with d’Urine-2.1. At this stage, the leather should feel squeaky after returning to its chemistry integrity of pH 3 - 5. Stiff leather is relaxed and sticks together fiber separated by Hydrator-3.3. The penetrated stain removing process continues with hydrating prior to fat and oil replenishing with leather scented Fatliquor LS-5.5. In severe cases color refinishing is the last resort to restore appearance. Note that the mentioned products suffix numbers denotes its pH value in this holistic approach for perforated-leather urine decontamination process.
Instruction
Restoration Cleaning
1. Surface contamination is wet finger tested to detect denaturing of leather with stickiness.
2. Spray Acidifier-2.0 to pH balance for leather chemistry stability reverting to a healthy squeaky feel.
3. Spray d’Protein-10 and towel extract until it shows clean.
2. Spray Rinse-3.0 and towel extracted until it shows clean.
Urine Treatment
1. Spray d’Urine-2.1 to saturate until natural dry.
2. Advance technique utilized a paper towel to cover the stain without airspace until it dries to trap soiling particulates instead of remaining on the leather surface.
Hydrating
1. Spray Hydrator-3.3 to saturate the leather to relax stiff and stick together fibers and to wick out suspended foreign contamination.
2. Advance technique utilized a paper towel to cover the stain without airspace until it dries to trap soiling particulates instead of remaining on the leather surface.
Fat and Oil Replenishing
1. Spray Fatliquor LS-5.5 and redistribute with a foam brush until the leather is evenly saturated.
2. Re-apply when the water content dries.
3. Leave the leather natural drying for extra softness.
Rub-Resistant Protection
1. Spray Protector-D+ by mist spray and spread with foam brush or towel.
2. For routine application, it is practical to extracts soiling simultaneously.
