Leather Acidifier 2.0 by Leather Doctor is a pH 2.0 acidifier rinse for controlling, neutralizing, and pH-balancing denaturing leather that bleeds, streaks, getting tacky, or slimy.
This product is designed to correct and balance the pH levels of leather, which can become too alkaline due to exposure to certain cleaning products.
Acidifier 2.0 should be used after cleaning or stripping leather to ensure that the pH is properly balanced.
To use, concentrate has to be mixed with distilled water at ratio 1: 25 or according to the instructions on the bottle and apply it to the leather surface with a clean cloth, sponge or brush.
Allow the product to penetrate for a few minutes, and then wipe away any excess with a clean, cloth.
Acidifier 2.0 is an essential product for maintaining the beauty and durability of leather and is recommended for use on all types of leather goods.
Acidifier 2.0 works on all types of leather, including lambskin, nubuck, suede, hair-on-hide, shearling, sheepskin, and wool skin.
This pH 2.0 acidifier protonates and pH balances leather below its neutral pH point to increase the ionic attraction between the protein fiber and other leather constituents, such as the dyestuff, to prevent bleeding, the tanning agent to prevent migration with tackiness, and the fatliquor to prevent migration that can lead to dryness and stiffness, causing cracks.
Instruction:
1: Concentrate in the bottle has to be mixed with distilled water at ratio of 1: 25 before use.
2: Spray directly and agitate with leather, nubuck, or suede brush.
3: Dwell for 10 to 30 minutes depending on exposure severity.
4: Extract residues with a dry absorbent towel.
5: Test for reduced bleeding or a satisfactory leather pH chemistry integrity with a healthy squeaky feel.
6: Wick up soiling is removed by brush or eraser accordingly.
Leather Suppleness System:
1: Use in sequence system Hydrator 3.3 and Fatliquor 5.0 to return leather to original suppleness.
Leather Degreasing System:
Acidifier 2.0 is a leather acidifier rinse for controlling absorbent leather dye bleeding in conjunction with the Degreaser 2.2 oil, grease, and sweat decontamination system.
