Saddlery Strong Cleaner 4.3 (Strong 4.3) by Leather Doctor®

  • Professional Leather-Safe™ pH 4.3 Strong Leather Cleaner for Horse Saddles & Tack
  • Strong Cleaning When Soft Cleaning Is No Longer Enough
  • Some saddles accumulate more than everyday dust.
  • Perspiration residue, arena dirt, environmental grime, and repeated riding gradually build contamination that routine maintenance can no longer remove.

Saddlery Strong Cleaner 4.3 by Leather Doctor® is a Leather-Safe™, pH 4.3 strong leather cleaner formulated to remove moderate contamination while maintaining leather's natural balance.

  • It is the second cleaning level within the Leather Doctor® Core System™ Prepare stage, used only when Soft Cleaner 3.8 is no longer sufficient.
  • Clean Stronger. Stabilize Completely. Restore Correctly.

 Why Choose Strong Cleaner 4.3?

Leather should always be cleaned using the least aggressive cleaner capable of removing the contamination.

Begin with:

Soft Cleaner 3.8 — Light contamination

Strong Cleaner 4.3 — Moderate contamination

Super Cleaner 4.9 — Heavy contamination

Degreaser 2.2 — Embedded oils and grease

Progressive cleaning preserves leather while avoiding unnecessary over-cleaning.

 When To Use

Use Strong Cleaner 4.3 when:

Soft Cleaner 3.8 is no longer sufficient
✓ Moderate contamination is present
✓ Perspiration residue has accumulated
✓ Dirt remains after routine cleaning
✓ Preparing leather for correction or restoration

When Strong Cleaner 4.3 Is Not Enough

Strong Cleaner 4.3 effectively removes moderate contamination, perspiration residue, embedded dirt, and environmental grime.
However, when heavy contamination remains after cleaning, progress to Saddlery Super Cleaner 4.9.
If leather remains:

  • Greasy
  • Darkened by body oils
  • Sticky after cleaning

the contamination has penetrated beyond the surface.

In these situations, proceed to Saddlery Degreaser 2.2 to remove embedded oils and grease before continuing with restoration.

 Important Application Principle

  • Increase cleaning strength only when necessary.
  • Every cleaning process is completed with Rinse 3.0 Cleaning Stabilizer, which removes suspended contamination and residual cleaner before correction or restoration begins.
