Leather Doctor® Protected Leather Anti-Urine 4.5

  • Urine Neutralizer & Deodorizer for Protected Leather
  • Treat the urine problem—not just the smell.

Leather Doctor® Protected Leather Anti-Urine 4.5 is a targeted treatment developed specifically for finished/protected leather affected by urine contamination.

  • Urine problems on leather can appear as:

Odor · Staining · Yellowing · Discoloration · Residue

  • The product is designed to address accessible urine contamination on the protected surface while helping reduce associated odor.

Not simply a deodorizer. Anti-Urine is a targeted protected-leather urine treatment.

Developed From a Real-World Leather Cleaning Problem

  • Protected Leather Anti-Urine 4.5 was developed from a professional cleaning case involving a light-colored Natuzzi Italia leather sectional affected by dried cat urine.
  • The visible problem was subtle yellowish discoloration that remained after household cleaning had already been attempted.
  • The case raised an important question:

How can urine contamination on protected leather be treated specifically, without unnecessarily turning the job into a more extensive cleaning process?

  • This led to the development of a dedicated protected-leather treatment with a different formulation and treatment objective from the broader Leather Doctor® Urine 1.5, Urine 2.1, and Urine 1.0 products.

Why “Anti-Urine”?

  • Anti-Urine Describes the Problem — Not Just the Symptom
  • A product called Urine Deodorizer focuses attention on odor.

But urine contamination can leave visible and invisible problems beyond smell.

  • Anti-Urine addresses the broader urine-contamination problem on protected leather.
  • It is intended for urine-related:
  • Odor · Staining · Residue · Surface Discoloration

The name identifies the problem.

  • The descriptor explains the function:
  • Urine Neutralizer & Deodorizer for Protected Leather

Formulated Specifically for Protected Leather

Anti-Urine 4.5 is intended for finished/protected leather, including many:

  • Leather sofas
  • Chairs and recliners
  • Automotive leather interiors
  • Office seating
  • Finished leather furniture

Before treatment, always identify the leather and evaluate the actual affected area.

A protected finish may remain intact in an unused area while a frequently used affected area has developed wear, micro-crazing, or finish deterioration.

A Different Formulation for a Different Purpose:

  • Anti-Urine 4.5 is not simply a higher-pH version of Urine 2.1.
  • Citric Acid — pH 4.5
  • Provides the mildly acidic urine-treatment function.
  • Tea Tree + Eucalyptus
  • Primarily support the deodorizing and odor-control function.
  • The difference is not simply pH.
  • It is formulation purpose and treatment objective.

Designed for Targeted Application

  • Anti-Urine 4.5 is applied only to the urine-affected area and its immediate contamination path.
  • It is not intended to saturate the entire sofa.

For protected leather requiring surface preparation:

Degreaser 2.2 → Rinse 3.0 → Anti-Urine 4.5

  • Degreaser 2.2 and Rinse 3.0 prepare the surface.
  • Anti-Urine 4.5 then targets the urine contamination.

No routine rinse is required after Anti-Urine 4.5.

  • Allow the treatment to remain in contact and air-dry naturally for 24 hours.

What Anti-Urine 4.5 Can Address

Anti-Urine 4.5 is designed to help:

  • Treat accessible urine contamination
  • Reduce urine-related odor
  • Address accessible urine residues
  • Treat urine contamination around accessible seams and creases
  • Support odor control with Tea Tree and Eucalyptus

Results depend on the age, concentration, location, depth, and previous treatment history of the contamination.

What Anti-Urine 4.5 Does Not Do.

  • Anti-Urine 4.5 is not a bleaching treatment.
  • It does not contain a bleaching ingredient specifically intended to remove established urochrome yellowing.
  • Established yellow coloration may remain when urine-related colorants have become set or when the leather or protective finish has been permanently altered.

Urine 2.1 provides a separate progressive corrective option for established yellowing on protected leather, beginning at 1/3 strength and progressing toward full strength as appropriate.

  • Likewise, Anti-Urine 4.5 should not be expected to eliminate urine contamination originating deep inside cushion foam or other internal upholstery materials.

24-Hour Treatment

  • After application:

Apply → Remain in Contact → Air-Dry 24 Hours → Evaluate

Do not force-dry with direct heat.

Once completely dry, evaluate the remaining:

  • Odor
  • Residue
  • Staining
  • Yellowing
  • Discoloration
  • Surface condition

If the visible change remains, determine whether it represents residual contamination, established coloration, finish deterioration, or deeper contamination before applying additional treatment

Cat-Safety Precaution:

  • Anti-Urine 4.5 contains botanical components including Tea Tree and Eucalyptus.
  • Keep cats away from the treated area during application and throughout the 24-hour drying period.
  • After the treated surface is completely dry, a clean, slightly damp cloth may be used before returning the furniture to cat contact.

This wipe is solely a pet-safety precaution.
It is not a leather-rinsing step and is not required for the leather treatment itself.

  • Protect the leather.
  • Protect the animal.
