Instructions:

(The 7-Step Procedure)

StepProduct Name & RoleMethod of Application
 1 Degreaser 4.5
  • Pump foam onto Leather Brush 1 or Microfiber Towel 3
  • Work into blackened or greasy areas using gentle, circular motions.
  • Let the foam pull oils up out of the pores.
  • Do not scrub aggressively.
 2 Rinse 4.5
  • Apply directly onto a lint-free Microfiber Towel 3.
  • Wipe down the entire treated area thoroughly to strip away lifted grease, soils, and residual cleaning surfactants.
 3 Hydrator 3.5
  • Dampen a clean Microfiber Towel 3 and apply evenly to the leather.
  • This expands the leather's internal fibrous structure, releasing deep-set water stains and equalizing overall moisture.
 4 Fatliquor 5.0
  • While the leather remains damp from Step 3, apply the fatliquor treatment.
  • This infuses vital nourishing fat and oil into the fibers, curing leather stiffness and preventing drying as it dries.
 5 Fix 3.8
  • Apply evenly with a clean Micrfiber Towel 3 over the entire surface.
  • This stabilizes the current oxidation state of the vachetta, locking in your desired color uniform tone and controlling the aging speed.
 6 Feel & Scent 4.5
  • Buff lightly into the dry leather with a soft Microfiber Towel 3.
  • This restores a rich, classic "new luxury leather" aroma while imparting a soft, non-sticky premium tactile feel.
 7 Shield 4.5
  • Apply a thin, wipe-on coat to serve as your ultimate protective layer.
  • This locks out future liquids, raindrops, and hand oils without changing the raw matte texture.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will this kit make my vachetta leather look brand new?
The V8 system is designed to radically reduce severe darkening, eliminate grease, lift water stains, and equalize coloration.
While it can drastically rejuvenate aged or neglected leather, areas where fibers are physically worn away, deeply scarred, or chemically burned may still show minor structural history.

Can I use this system on other types of leather like Caviar or Lambskin?
No. The V8 Restoration Kit is formulated strictly for raw, open-pored, untreated vegetable-tanned leathers (Vachetta).
For finished, coated, or dyed leathers, please look at our dedicated aniline and finished leather product suites.

Will using the foam degreaser dry out my luxury bag handles?
Active degreasing naturally strips away oils—both bad handle grease and good structural oils.
That is precisely why the V8 system mandates Step 4 (Fatliquor 5.0).
The fatliquor step completely replaces lost structural lipids, keeping the leather strong and preventing cracking.

How long should I wait between applying the steps?
Steps 1 through 3 can follow each other in immediate sequence.
Step 4 should be applied while the leather is still damp from Step 3.
Allow the leather to air-dry completely after Step 4 before moving forward to finishing with Steps 5, 6, and 7.
