Sheepskin Wool Deodorizer 4.5 by Leather Doctor® is a tannery-grade pH 4.5 odor eliminator designed to neutralize stubborn “sheepy” lanolin smells and other unpleasant odors commonly found in sheepskin, shearling, and woolskin.

  • Unlike masking agents, this wool-safe deodorizer penetrates deep into the wool fibers, suede base, and hide structure to target odors at their source, leaving your sheepskin articles fresh, clean, and naturally soft.

✅ Targets Multiple Odors:

  • Effectively neutralizes sheepy lanolin smells, musty storage odors, urine, mold, and decaying bacteria-related odors.

✅ Wool-Safe Formula:

  • Specially balanced at pH 4.5 to match sheepskin and wool’s natural chemistry, preventing fiber damage.

✅ Versatile Applications:

  • Ideal for sheepskin rugs, boots, coats, seat covers, and woolskin upholstery.

✅ Complete Care System:

 Odor Removal Guide:

  • Sheepy Lanolin Smell
    • – Remove excess lanolin with Wool Degreaser 5.6, rinse with Wool Rinse 4.0, then deodorize with Deodorizer 4.5.
  • Mask Residual Odors
    • – Apply Wool Conditioner S Plus for a soft, scented finish on the wool surface; use Scent Fatliquor 5.0 Plus for suede-side scenting.
  • Decaying Odors
    • – Sanitize with Sanitizer 3.9 or Disinfectant 3.7.
  • Musty Odors
    • – Treat with Mold Cleaner 1.5 followed by Mold Odor Killer 3.6.
  • Urine Odors
    • – Use Urine Cleaner 1.5 followed by Urine Odor Killer 2.1.

 Directions for Use:

  1. Mix concentrate with 220g of distilled water.
  2. Apply with a wet spray to thoroughly reach odor sources.
  3. Brush wool in one direction for even penetration.
  4. Extract excess moisture with a white terry cotton towel until clean.
  5. Allow to air dry naturally.
  6. Perform a smell test – repeat if necessary.
  7. Groom when crispy dry to restore fluffy bloom.
