Why Does Leather Need Relaxation?
Over time, exposure to body sweat, alkaline cleaners, heat, and environmental neglect causes the internal protein fibers of the leather to rub together, friction-lock, and shrink. Why Use Before Fatliquor 5.0?
Hydrator 3.5 is the mandatory first half of the structural rejuvenation process. Because our Fatliquor 5.0 is an anionically charged (negatively charged) oil emulsion, it requires a highly cationic (positively charged) target to bond with.

Instructions for Use
This product can be used straight from the bottle or mixed from our 10x Concentrate (Mix 1 Part Concentrate to 9 Parts Distilled Water).

Clean first: Ensure all heavy surface grease and oils have been completely extracted using our Foam Degreaser 4.5 or Gel Degreaser 4.4 , followed by a thorough flush with Rinse 4.4 .

Apply Generously: Spray Hydrator 3.5 directly onto the porous leather surface or apply via a clean microfiber cloth until the area is evenly saturated.

The Cling-Wrap Method (For Severe Stiffness): For heavily cardboard-stiff areas, saturate a clean cloth with Hydrator 3.5, place it over the area, and cover it tightly with household plastic cling-wrap. Let it dwell for 2 to 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the fibers to relax completely without the product evaporating.

Wipe Excess: Remove the wrap and wipe away any migrating soil or surface dampness with a clean towel.

Follow up Immediately: While the leather is still evenly damp from the Hydrator, apply Fatliquor 5.0 to complete the structural re-oiling process.

Q: Can I use tap water instead of Hydrator 3.5 to wet the leather?
A: No. Tap water contains harsh minerals, chlorine, and has a neutral-to-alkaline pH (7.0+). Using tap water will shock the leather's pH mantle, harden the fibers, and leave behind unsightly white calcium ring lines ( halos ) when it dries.
Q: Will Hydrator 3.5 permanently darken my leather?
A: No. Porous aniline leather darkens dramatically whenever it gets wet—this is normal. Once the Hydrator completely evaporates out of the hide during the final drying phase, the leather will return to its original optical tone.
Q: My product label says "Hydrator 3.3" but the listing says "3.5". Is it the same?
