Saddlery Dye Fix 2.8 (Fix 2.8) by Leather Doctor®
- Professional Leather-Safe™ Water-Based Dye Fixative for Horse Saddles & Tack
- Stabilize First. Fix Second.™
- Dye transfer is not always a dye problem.
- It is often the result of an unstable leather environment.
Saddlery Dye Fix 2.8 by Leather Doctor® is a professional Leather-Safe™ water-based dye fixative formulated to improve dye stability in horse saddles, bridles, reins, breast collars, stirrup leathers, fenders, jockeys, straps, harnesses, and other equestrian leather affected by color bleeding, crocking, or dye transfer.
- Unlike film-forming sealers or surface coatings, Fix 2.8 works within the leather structure to improve dye stability while preserving the leather's natural appearance, flexibility, breathability, and feel.
- It is used only when dye instability remains after proper cleaning, rinsing, and pH correction.
- Stabilize First. Fix Second. Restore Completely.
Why Choose Dye Fix 2.8?
- Leather Doctor® follows a structural restoration philosophy.
- Before fixing unstable dyes, the leather should first be stabilized through the Leather Doctor® Core System™.
- In many cases, proper cleaning, rinsing, and pH correction significantly reduce dye transfer without requiring fixation.
- Fix 2.8 is reserved for situations where dye instability still remains.
What Dye Fix 2.8 Does
