1️⃣ Dilution:
- Mix 1 part Hydrator 3.3 concentrate with 25 parts distilled water before use.
2️⃣ Pretest & Application:
- Always pretest on a hidden area to check for any undesired darkening or dye movement.
- Apply the diluted solution evenly across the leather.
- Work it in using a soft nylon Brush 2 to ensure even penetration and a subtle darkening effect.
3️⃣ Dwell Time:
- Let the product dwell on the surface to allow full hydration and fiber relaxation. Reapply lightly if drying too quickly—maintain a damp (not wet) surface.
4️⃣ Manipulation:
- While the leather is still damp and relaxed, gently stretch or massage out any unwanted creases or wrinkles until the desired appearance is achieved.
5️⃣ Follow-Up Conditioning:
- Once the leather has absorbed the hydrator and is softened, continue treatment with Fatliquor 5.0 to restore natural oils, enhance flexibility, and lock in softness.
Understanding Hydrator 3.3
- Hydrator 3.3 should not be confused with prolonged moisture retention.
- Its purpose is to temporarily relax the leather fiber structure, allowing compressed collagen fibers to become more receptive to replenishment with Fatliquor 5.0.
- After performing this function, the water carrier evaporates naturally.
- Hydrator 3.3 does not leave the leather damp or create conditions favorable to mold growth when used as directed.
Hydrator 3.3 — Temporary Hydration & Preconditioning
Hydrator 3.3 is a temporary hydration and preconditioning agent designed to prepare the leather fiber structure for subsequent fatliquoring.
Its water-based formulation temporarily rehydrates and relaxes the leather fibers, preparing them to receive Fatliquor 5.0.
This hydration is temporary. The introduced water eventually evaporates during subsequent drying. Hydrator 3.3 is not intended to leave retained moisture content in the leather or provide lasting moisture conditioning.
Its purpose is to establish the appropriate temporary hydration condition before the fatliquoring stage.
Fatliquor 5.0 — Internal Fiber Lubrication
Fatliquor 5.0 performs the actual internal lubrication function.
It replenishes lubricating oils within the leather fiber structure, helping reduce fiber-to-fiber friction and restore softness, suppleness and flexibility.
Unlike Hydrator 3.3, Fatliquor 5.0 is intended to replenish the internal lubrication that contributes to the suede's lasting supple feel.
Hydrator prepares; Fatliquor lubricates.
These two products perform complementary but fundamentally different restoration functions.

Hydrator 3.3
Wow! It’s amazing and a miracle. When I first saw the bottles I thought there was very little in the hydrator 3.3 bottle but it and the Fatliquor 5.0 were easy to mix and apply and they completely restored the zebra skin !!! I wish I knew about this product line when I first bought the zebra foot stool. If I ever need it again - without question, I will be back as a customer. The skin was starting to get stiff and hard… But these products totally restored the vitality and flexibility of the skin to its initial form. Amazing
