Hair on Hide Deodorizer 4.5 by Leather Doctor® is a tannery-grade Hair-Safe™ and Hide-Safe™ pH-balanced 4.5 odor eliminator designed to remove undesirable smells commonly found in tanned hair-on hide.
- Unlike masking agents, this hair-safe deodorizer penetrates deep into the hair fibers, and hide structure to target odors at their source, leaving your hair-on hide articles fresh, clean, and naturally soft.

Odor Removal Guide:
- Sheepy Lanolin Smell
- – Remove excess lanolin with Degreaser 5.6, rinse with Rinse 4.0, then deodorize with Deodorizer 4.5.
- Mask Residual Odors
- – Apply Conditioner S Plus for a soft, scented finish on the hair surface; use Fatliquor 5.0 Plus for hidee-side scenting.
- Decaying Odors
- – Sanitize with Sanitizer 3.9 or Disinfectant 3.7.
- Musty Odors
- – Treat with Mold Cleaner 1.5 followed by Mold Odor Killer 3.6.
- Urine Odors
- – Use Urine Cleaner 1.5 followed by Urine Odor Killer 2.1.
Directions for Use:
- Mix concentrate 1:32 with distilled water.
- Apply with a wet spray to thoroughly reach odor sources.
- Brush hair in one direction for even penetration.
- Extract excess moisture with a white terry cotton towel until clean.
- Allow to air dry naturally.
- Perform a smell test – repeat if necessary.
- Groom when crispy dry to restore fluffy bloom.
