Product Overview
Leather Strong Cleaner 4.3 (Strong 4.3) by Leather Doctor® is a pH 4.3, water-based strong leather cleaner, specially formulated for periodic deep cleaning of heavily soiled leather, especially in high-use areas.
It provides a balanced cleaning strength, positioned between:
- Super 4.9 (stronger), and
- Cleaner 3.8 (milder).
How It Works

Penetrates embedded soiling.

Lubricates to release dirt.

Suspends foreign contamination.

Requires sufficient dwell time (3–30 minutes).

Works in sequence with Cleaner 3.8 for residue removal.

Final rinse with Rinse 3.0 ensures a leather-safe, pH-balanced result.
Where to Use It
Effective on all leather types:
- Vachetta
- Aniline
- Pigmented
- Nubuck
- Suede
- Hair-on-hide (suede side)
Cleaning Sequence
1. Dry Soil Removal

Brush or vacuum loose particles.
2. Application

Dilute concentrate with distilled water at ratio 1: 64 before use.

Shake well, apply, agitate with suitable brush.
3. Dwell Time

Let it dwell 3–30 minutes, ensuring it doesn’t dry on the leather.
4. Soil Extraction

Wipe suspended soil with a dry absorbent cotton terry towel.
5. Residue Removal
-
Clean remaining residue with Cleaner 3.8.

Rinse with Rinse 3.0 until towel shows clean.
For Stubborn Soiling

Use Prep 4.4 (absorbent leathers like aniline, nubuck, suede, vachetta).

Use Prep 7.7 (non-absorbent, pigmented leathers).
